Amodha Designs Standard Warranty
Every piece made at Amodha Designs is built from solid wood, shaped by hand, and finished to last. This 1 year warranty is our commitment that the craft we put in holds up in your home, and that if it doesn't, we will resolve it in accordance with the warranty terms outlined below.

What This Warranty Covers

1. Structural Warranty — 1 Year

We warrant that your Amodha piece will be free from defects (A ‘defect’ refers to a fault arising from manufacturing, material quality, or workmanship, and does not include damage caused by external factors or usage conditions) in material and workmanship that affect its structural integrity for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery.

This covers:

  • Joint failures or separation not caused by impact, misuse, or water exposure
  • Cracking of solid wood caused by a manufacturing defect or improper drying
  • Structural instability that makes the piece unsafe or unusable

2. Surface & Finish Warranty — 1 Year

We warrant that the finish on your piece, whether PU, oil, or lacquer, will be free from peeling, bubbling, or adhesion failure for one (1) year from the date of delivery.

This covers:

  • Finish peeling or lifting without physical contact or chemical exposure
  • Uneven sheen or blotching that was not visible or disclosed at the time of delivery

Extended Warranty (+1 Year)

You can extend your warranty coverage by an additional year beyond the standard one-year period. The extended warranty covers the same scope as the standard warranty: structural integrity and finish quality, under the same terms and exclusions.

How to Get an Extension

  • At the time of purchase, simply mention it when placing your order and we will include it in your invoice.

  • Anytime within your 1-year warranty period, contact us before your standard warranty expires and we will assess and quote for your specific piece. Eligibility for extension is subject to the condition of the piece at the time of request.

Pricing for the extended warranty is quoted on a case-by-case basis depending on the piece, ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹10,000. To get a quote, reach us at care@amodha.shop or WhatsApp with your order number.

The extended warranty is a paid add-on and does not alter the terms of the standard warranty. It takes effect only after the standard 1-year period ends.

Our warranty does not apply to damage or deterioration caused by

  • Normal wear, minor scratches, or surface patina that develops with use
  • Exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, heat sources, or outdoor conditions
  • Contact with cleaning agents, solvents, or abrasive materials
  • Physical damage from impact, dropping, or mishandling after delivery
  • Hairline gaps or minor joint movement caused by seasonal wood expansion and contraction within normal humidity variation, this is natural behaviour of solid wood and not a defect. However, if a joint fully separates, loses structural integrity, or becomes load-bearing unsafe due to any cause, that is covered under the structural warranty regardless of whether wood movement was a contributing factor.
  • Damage caused by unapproved repairs, modifications, or disassembly

Note: Solid wood is a living material. Minor natural movement, small grain variations, and tonal shifts over time are characteristics of the material, not defects.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Step 1

Contact us within 30 days of noticing the issue. Claims reported after 30 days of the customer first observing the problem may not be eligible.

Send us photographs/video(s) of the issue from multiple angles, along with your order number and delivery date.

Step 3

Our team will assess the claim within 5 working days and confirm whether it falls under warranty.

Step 4

If approved, we will arrange the appropriate resolution: on-site repair, workshop repair, or replacement, at our discretion.

How We Resolve Claims

We assess every claim individually. Our resolution approach is:

  • Minor surface issues within delivery radius — on-site repair at no cost
  • Minor surface issues beyond delivery radius — repair kit dispatched with guidance
  • Confirmed joint or structural failure — item brought to workshop for repair; we cover inbound logistics
  • Structural failure making item unusable, confirmed as manufacturing defect — replacement of the piece or affected component

We do not offer cash refunds under this warranty. Resolutions are limited to repair or replacement at Amodha's discretion.

Caring for Your Piece

To keep your Amodha piece in its best condition:

  • Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid wet wiping.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources such as radiators or vents.
  • Avoid placing in rooms with extreme humidity fluctuation.
  • Do not use chemical cleaners, polish sprays, or abrasive pads on the surface.
  • For oiled finishes, re-oil every 6–12 months with the same oil used at finishing.

Since solid wood is a natural material, rare instances of termites or wood borers may occur over time due to environmental factors. Appropriate anti-termite or wood-borer treatment assistance can be offered from our end, if required.
